Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of Cullen on a season-long loan deal from West Ham.
Republic of Ireland U21 international Cullen has joined the Addicks for the rest of the season to become the club’s fifth signing of the summer.
Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer is delighted to sign the 22-year-old midfielder, who made 12 appearances for Bolton in the Sky Bet Championship. Josh Cullen becomes the fifth signing of the summer for the Sky Bet League One side.
Charlton boss Bowyer welcomes the deal:
“This is one we thought would be out of our reach to be honest,” said Bowyer.
“He is a very good player and has good experience in this league.
“He is definitely one who is going to improve us. He has been in and around the West Ham squad in pre-season.
“The new manager there [Manuel Pellegrini] likes him and that is why I thought he was not going to get out of there and if he did, he would go to the Championship.”
