Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has consented to join AC Milan, reports say.
Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Morata’s poor performance against Arsenal was down to tiredness.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan’s new director of sport, Leonardo, held a meeting with Morata’s entourage on Wednesday.
Alvaro Morata was intensely connected with a move away from Chelsea earlier this summer after a turbulent first season in west London. Morata, 25, would surely fetch the larger fee considering he moved to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid for £60 million last summer. Former Milan defender Luca Antonini also believes the move could happen.
Alvaro Morata was held in high respect by Real Madrid and left for Chelsea only because of Zinedine Zidane’s reluctance to play him over Karim Benzema.
