Super League clubs have announced two matches have postponed today due to extreme weather conditions

Games between Huddersfield and Leeds and Wakefield and Catalans Dragons have been called off as Storm Ciara batters Britain.

It has also seen the Premier League match between Manchester City and West Ham postponed with City announcing it was doing so due to ‘extreme and escalating weather conditions’.

The UK is currently being battered by Storm Ciara with 90 miles per hour winds predicted, sparking tornado fears.

It could be the biggest storm to hit Britain in seven years, with the Met Office issuing Amber alerts in some areas where there could be a danger to life.

Around 200 flights have been cancelled in and out of Europe as heavy rain pairs up with the extreme wind.

Some rail companies have even urged passengers not to travel due to the conditions outside.
