Tottenham’s new contract talks with Christian Eriksen have stalled.
The Daily Mail says the 26-year-old Danish midfielder has less than two years left on his current deal and Spurs are anxious to secure the long-term future of the man they signed for £11million in 2013 from Ajax.
Talks have been going on for the last six months but no agreement is in sight because Eriksen wants to be paid on a par with striker Harry Kane and World Cup-winning goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Kane has already agreed a new contract which could be worth around £300,000 a week with bonuses. Lloris has also benefited from a pay rise triggered by him entering the third year of a contract signed two years ago.
